In the video released in collaboration with Adidas, the 39-year-old superstar is shown retiring the jersey he wore at the World Cup and hanging a new one in its place, which bears his name in gold letters and the number “10” on the back, also in gold, while the “Sun of May” (Sol de Mayo), taken from the country’s flag, which symbolizes independence and the birth of the nation.
This will be “Leo’s” 208th appearance for the national team, for which he has scored 125 goals. With Argentina, he won the World Cup in 2024, two Copa América titles, and the Finalissima, as well as the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games.
