Sunday’s Madrid derby between Atlético and Real (2-1) sparked a lot of discussion about the refereeing, with the visiting team voicing very serious complaints.
According to COPE, the match referee, Orić Arias, is expected to be suspended from officiating for at least two LaLiga matches.
Real Madrid, which after this result now trails league-leading Barcelona by 6 points after seven matchdays, is protesting two red cards that were not issued for hard tackles in the first half, particularly the one by Lee Kang-in on Fede Valverde.
