AEK FC issued a pointed statement—without naming anyone, however—referring to the creation of a toxic atmosphere by certain individuals who are using old and cheap tricks in an attempt to spread propaganda.
The official position of “AEK” comes shortly after Tassos Tsatalis refuted Achilleas Beos’s claims that Marco Nikolić allegedly told him the penalty kick awarded to Vshould not have been called.
The full statement reads:
“Those who invest in smoke and mirrors to create hostility and sensationalism out of thin air should have thought carefully before betting on lame horses.
As for their favorite ‘horses,’ someone should tell them that ‘creating a climate today for certain purposes, to justify what’s coming tomorrow’ is an old, cheap, and—above all—highly predictable trick.
Let them not forget that, in the end, “nothing is hidden from the Sun.”
