Bullfight spectators in Spain experienced moments of terror when a bull—which the matador had run to avoid—"lunged" toward the stands.
The rare incident occurred at the Plaza de Toros de Murcia bullring in Murcia, Spain, on September 20.
As seen in the video, the 6-year-old bull named Malacara, weighing half a metric ton, charged toward one of the bullfighters, who dodged it with a single movement.
However, the momentum of the massive animal, it was unable to stop, resulting in it leaping to avoid the wooden fence; the spectator recording the scene was saved because there was a gap and a concrete wall between him and the arena.

Juan Pérez, who was sitting a few rows back, said, clearly shaken:
“I saw it with my own eyes—the bull jumping over the fence and ending up in the crowd. The animal was out of control. It was pure luck that no one was injured. There were women in those seats, and they came very close to being gored by its horns,” described one of the spectators.
According to the organizers, the bull came from the Los Espartales ranch, and its opponent was the Portuguese mounted bullfighter (rejoneador) Duarte Fernandes.
