In a statement, the DIPA expresses its deep concern over the continuing rise in fuel prices and the increasing pressure on household budgets.
“The government must closely monitor developments and immediately implement targeted measures to provide relief to households, with particular emphasis on vulnerable population groups, low-income pensioners, and families who are struggling the most to cope with the increased cost of living,” it says.
We acknowledge the measures that have already been taken, such as the extension of the reduction in the Special Consumption Tax on fuel through the end of November, she adds. However, DIPA notes that the new reality regarding prices calls for continuous assessment and, where necessary, additional and immediate targeted solutions.
