The Mazonakis family is calling on the nurse who told Gaka, “I don’t think he’s doing well,” to testify, and has appointed a technical advisor

The singer’s family is requesting that the toxicology tests be expedited to determine the exact cause of Giorgos Mazonakis’s death, as revealed by their attorney, Charalambos Lykoudis. At the same time, they are requesting that another employee of the Gaka-Theodoropoulos clinic on Karneadou Street in Kolonaki testify.

This is the 53-year-old nurse, whose initials are E.T., who was performing therapeutic massages and was present in the room where the procedure on Mazonakis was taking place.

As protothema.gr revealed earlier, the 53-year-old noticed at one point that one of the singer’s hands was “twitching.” The sight alarmed her, and she immediately turned to Ioanna Gaka.

“He doesn’t look well to me,” he reportedly told her.

According to the testimony, the 56-year-old doctor replied, “You’re not going to tell me what to do—I’m the doctor.”

According to Mr. Lykoudis, who spoke to Mega and Alpha Greece, the nurse will be called to testify, and he urged her to tell the truth.

“It has been proven that the three employees gave false testimony,” Mr. Lykoudis asserted, reserving the right to prosecute them for perjury, harboring a criminal, and possibly aiding and abetting, as he stated. “I want, hope, and pray that the nurse will be the only one who does not lie and who will not find herself facing charges,” said the attorney for the Mazonakis family.

Furthermore, Mr. Loukoudis stated that, according to official information he has received, the toxicology results could take up to two months, a fact he described as unacceptable. Consequently, the family will appoint a technical consultant to expedite the proceedings, while the official expert opinions will also be prepared.

Mr. Lykoudis also pointed out to Alpha Greece that, as part of this plasmapheresis treatment, substances that should not have been administered, expressing his belief that new charges will be filed. It should be noted that, as has become known from witness accounts, the singer was administered alcohol.

At the same time, according to the evidence being examined, the dialysis machine was emitting continuous alerts, while the singer’s condition had already begun to cause serious concern among those present at the scene.

The two calls regarding the defibrillator

The actions that followed are now under close scrutiny as part of the investigation. According to reports, Ioanna Gaka made two phone calls to the defibrillator manufacturer to receive instructions on how to use it.

In fact, the call is said to have been placed on speakerphone so that everyone in the doctor’s office could hear the instructions on how to operate the device.

The Critical Phone Call to the Anesthesiologist

Even more critical is a phone call that, according to new evidence, took place around 4:15 p.m., just a few minutes before the ambulance service was called. The call lasted only a few seconds and was made by a woman inside the doctor’s office to an anesthesiologist at a private hospital.

According to reports, this doctor is a freelance consultant and is called in for emergencies.

The content of the conversation, which has been brought to the attention of the authorities, is of particular interest, as the woman from the clinic allegedly said: “I have administered anesthesia to a patient. I have also administered the antidote. Is there anything else I can give in this case?”

This exchange is now one of the crucial pieces of the puzzle that investigators are trying to put together.

The two doctors, Ioanna Gaka and Ilias Theodoropoulos, have been remanded in custody in connection with the case, while the investigation continues, with authorities examining, among other things, the responses to the machine’s alerts, the actions taken after Mazonakis’s condition worsened, and the time at which the National Ambulance Service (EKAV) was called.
