Kostas Papadopoulos, a 79-year-old resident of Nicosia, who had been hospitalized at Nicosia General Hospital following a traffic accident in the Nicosia district.
The collision occurred in the early hours of September 5, 2026, in Nicosia. According to the evidence under review, the car driven by the 79-year-old on Nikis Avenue, under circumstances currently under investigation, collided with a car driven by a 19-year-old.

The 79-year-old was injured and transported by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was being treated on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit.
The Nicosia Traffic Police are continuing their investigation.
