Four people were killed in a helicopter crash southeast of Montreal, police in the Canadian province of Quebec announced.
According to the CBC and CTV television networks, police stated that the helicopter crashed around 2:30 p.m. (Eastern Time in Canada; 9:30 p.m. Cyprus time) and that it was engulfed in flames when emergency services arrived at the scene, near Sainte-Brigitte-d’Imberville.

The Sûreté du Québec, the police force of the French-speaking province, reported that all four people on board the helicopter are dead. They were unable to provide details regarding which company or organization owned the helicopter, where it had taken off from, where it was headed, or the purpose of the flight.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB in English, BST in French) announced that a team had been tasked with conducting an investigation.
