An "emergency" alert has been issued in Britain, according to Sky News.
An unknown number of people were arrested and homes were evacuated in the Welford area, following the declaration of a state of emergency near a U.S. air base in the United Kingdom.
Those arrested were taken into custody on suspicion of violating explosives laws in connection with the incident near RAF Fairford (a Royal Air Force base that is also used and operated by the U.S. Air Force—USAF) in Gloucestershire, police announced.

A specialized Army bomb disposal unit is on the scene in Welford, conducting vehicle inspections.
Residents are being evacuated and taken to a nearby sports center, according to the Gloucestershire Police.
