A 62-year-old woman and three other individuals were arrested in Limassol for violating the terms of their private security guard licenses and for performing their duties without a license.
Police officers went to a specific location around 11 a.m. yesterday to investigate a tip regarding the employment of individuals as private security guards without the required license.
The officers approached a woman who was standing at the entrance to the premises and operating the electric gate. Upon investigation, it was determined that she was a 62-year-old woman employed by a specific private security services company and that she held the required license.
However, further investigation revealed that security for the premises had been contracted to another private security firm; and as a result, the 62-year-old woman was arrested on the spot for violating the terms of her private security guard license.

Two other women, aged 30 and 31, as well as a 75-year-old man, were found at the scene; they were acting as private security guards without holding the required license. The individuals mentioned above were arrested for offenses committed in the act.
All those arrested were taken to the Agios Ioannis Police Station in Limassol, where they were formally charged in writing and released pending a court summons.
The owner of the company in question was also summoned to the station, where he was questioned in writing.
The Agios Ioannis Police Station is continuing its investigation.
