M&S Cyprus, true to its commitment to social responsibility and the empowerment of women, is continuing its partnership with Europa Donna Cyprus for the fourth consecutive year as part of the “Fashion That Matters,” which takes place in October, a month dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer.
This year, the campaign takes on an even more personal and powerful character. For the first time, the creative process begins with the women themselves and their own stories. Seven women who have experienced or are currently experiencing breast cancer shared their thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences, serving as the inspiration for this year’s limited-edition T-shirt.
From the initial discussions through to the final design direction, Michalis followed a process based on listening, observing, and translating these personal stories into a shared creative message.
And that’s how “Fashion That Matters” becomes more than just a fashion campaign. It becomes a story that begins with women, flows through creativity, and returns once again to the women who need support.
This year’s T-shirt is available at M&S Cyprus stores and online for €28. All proceeds from sales will go to Europa Donna Cyprus, supporting the organization’s work and the services it provides to women facing breast cancer.
This year’s initiative embodies the “Fashion That Matters” philosophy in the most meaningful way and conveys stories of strength and optimism. Special and heartfelt thanks go to the seven women who shared their personal stories and became an integral part of this year’s creative process: Afroditi Athanasiou, Vaso Hatzoulli, Maria Panaseti, Myra Rubia, Natasa Savva, Simoni Symeonidou, and Stavroula Liasidou. Their stories are at the heart of this year’s campaign, conveying messages of hope and optimism. Because behind every design there is a story, and behind every purchase, an act of support.
The “Fashion That Matters” is part of M&S’s “Plan A” strategic plan, which focuses on social, environmental, and ethical challenges, with the goal of creating a positive impact through its actions.
