The 30-year-old Russian is having an outstanding season, having already won titles in Brisbane, Dubai, and now Hangzhou. With this new title, he has climbed to 8th place in the PIF ATP Live Race to Turin, making a strong push to return to the ATP Finals, where he failed to qualify last year for the first time since 2018!
At the same time, the title in Hangzhou brought his total to 22 hard-court titles, a feat that places him alongside Michael Chang, Stefan Edberg, and John McEnroe in 11th place on the Open Era list.
The next stop for the world No. 6 is Beijing, where he will face Pablo Carreño Busta in the first round. Medvedev reached the final of the tournament in 2023, followed by two consecutive semifinal appearances in 2024 and 2025.
