"Her primary concern is to maintain the level of political discourse and her party," replied Anita Dimitriou when asked about the much-talked-about dinner at a fish tavern.
At the conclusion of her remarks, following the National Council meeting, Ms. Dimitriou was asked whether she had attended the dinner and if she had any comments to make, to which she replied:
“Look, we’re here to discuss the Cyprus issue, and allow me to uphold the standards of political discourse and the party I lead. All in good time. My job is to protect my faction through a democratic process, and that is what I will do. Our members will choose and take a stand.
“Everything else is unnecessary—that’s the least I can say,” he concluded.
