The Nicosia-based team, which was crowned champion last season, got off to a perfect start in the new season thanks to goals by Plati and El Kebe, winning the title for the first time in 11 years.
On the other hand, the “yellow-and-greens” pulled one back through Stylianou but were unable to pose a greater threat, ultimately suffering a defeat. This was their third unsuccessful attempt to win the trophy.
