A violent domestic incident occurred shortly after midnight in the Kavodokanos area of Lavrio, when a 32-year-old man from Romania attacked his ex-partner and her current partner with a knife, seriously injuring them.
According to the police, the 32-year-old climbed onto the balcony of his ex-partner’s home and, after smashing a window with a sledgehammer, entered the house. He then attacked the 32-year-old woman and her 33-year-old partner with a knife, inflicting multiple wounds on them.

The 32-year-old woman sustained injuries to her back, lung, and upper limbs, while the 33-year-old man suffered injuries to his collarbone, ribs, and genitals.
Both victims were transported to the Asklepieio Hospital in Voula, and the 32-year-old woman was subsequently transferred to Evangelismos Hospital due to the severity of her condition. The condition of both is described as serious.
At the time of the incident, the 32-year-old woman and the 32-year-old man’s two young sons, aged 2.5 and 1.5 years old, were at home.
After the incident, the 32-year-old man voluntarily went to the Lavreotiki Police Station, where he turned himself in to the police.
The Lavreotiki Crime Investigation and Prosecution Division filed charges against him for attempted murder, while the preliminary investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
According to the same sources, from November 27, 2025, to the present, the 32-year-old woman had filed five complaints against her ex-partner at the Lavreotiki Police Station for domestic threats, failure to pay child support, and violation of personal data privacy. A panic button had been installed on the 32-year-old’s cell phone, and the police had recommended that she move into a shelter, but she had refused.
Finally, it should be noted that on September 3, 2026, the 32-year-old man had been arrested in connection with a case of domestic threats and violation of weapons laws, as, according to the police, a 22-centimeter-long cutting tool and a rod were found in his possession.
