New developments have emerged in the case of the fatal car accident that claimed the life of Pantelis Pantelidis, as the court convicted one of the two defendants of perjury.
This is the man who testified in 2020 that he was with the late singer, Froso Kyriakou, and Mina Arnaouti, just a few hours before the fatal accident. In his testimony, he had claimed that he saw Froso Kyriakou in the driver’s seat.
However, the court found him guilty of repeatedly giving false testimony and sentenced him to 12 months in prison, suspended for three years. At the same time, no mitigating circumstances were recognized in his case. In contrast, the second defendant, who was charged with making a false sworn statement, was acquitted.
