"Turkey's bid for the position of the next UN Secretary-General is inconsistent with its behavior," said President Christodoulides when asked to comment on reports stating that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan intends to nominate Feridun Sinirlioğlu for the position of the next UN Secretary-General.
“I have no comment to make publicly; Turkey is doing its job, and we are doing ours,” he said initially.
