The violent car accident that occurred on the evening of Friday, October 2, 2026, on the Athens – Patras, in the Corinth Delta, as one of the six injured individuals, a 26-year-old, died in the hospital.

According to information from korinthostv.gr regarding the traffic accident in Corinth, a car driven by the 26-year-old, with a 20-year-old woman and a minor as passengers, veered off course and collided with a second car, driven by an 18-year-old and carrying two other 18-year-olds.
After the collision, the two vehicles crashed into and knocked down four utility poles. All six occupants of the two cars were injured in the violent collision, and the Corinth Fire Department had to intervene to extricate two of them.
They were then transported to the General Hospital of Corinth. Unfortunately, despite the doctors’ efforts, the 26-year-old driver succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
The relevant authorities are investigating the exact circumstances under which the accident occurred.
The Corinth Traffic Police Department is conducting the preliminary investigation into the causes of the accident.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Friday, October 2, just before the entrance to the city of Corinth.
