Benfica has set the process in motion to sign Vangelis Pavlidis. The two sides are in advanced talks to extend their partnership, according to “Record,” which features the Greek forward as its lead story on Saturday’s front page.
The 27-year-old forward’s contract with the “Eagles” runs through the summer of 2029, and according to these reports, barring any unforeseen circumstances, it will be renewed through 2031.
Pavlidis, who has caught the attention of major European clubs, and faced intense interest from Fenerbahçe last summer, has been playing for the Lisbon club since 2024. So far this season, Pavlidis has scored 14 goals in 13 matches with Benfica, along with three assists.
