The Larnaca Police arrested two individuals, aged 38 and 52, yesterday, as part of an investigation into burglaries and thefts from residences committed between July and October 2026 in the Larnaca district.
Specifically, on July 28, 2026, a 63-year-old woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from her home. The wallet contained, among other items, more than 600 euros in cash and credit cards. Following the subsequent investigation, a court arrest warrant was issued for a 38-year-old woman who was wanted by the police.
Additionally, on October 2, 2026, an 85-year-old woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from her home; it contained, among other items, more than 100 euros in cash and a credit card. On the same day, it was discovered that the 85-year-old’s credit card had been used at various stores in Larnaca.

Subsequent investigations yielded evidence against the 38-year-old and the 52-year-old, for whom arrest warrants were issued the same day. The two suspects were arrested yesterday afternoon by members of the Larnaca Traffic Police while traveling in a vehicle.
The suspects are expected to appear today before the Larnaca District Court for the purpose of issuing a detention order.
The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its investigation.
