The co-pilot accused of attacking his colleague during a Flydubai flight to Israel and attempting to take control of the aircraft on Wednesday (September 30), most likely acted alone, Israeli sources told CNNi.
Investigators from several countries are still working to determine his motive, however, an Israeli official stated that the evidence from the investigation suggests the suspect acted alone.
Another Israeli source stated that, at this time, Israel is not aware of any connection to any organization or government. Both sources emphasized that this is their assessment at this time.

Recall that following the attack, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the suspect may be linked to Iran, “based on what I’m hearing,” without, however, providing further details.
Flydubai Flight FZ1073 narrowly avoided disaster during its flight from Dubai, as the aircraft suddenly lost thousands of feet in altitude, with passengers and crew members bravely rushing into the cockpit to regain control of the aircraft.
Sources told CNNi that the suspect, identified as Hamam Al-Hamami, is an Omani national and was removed from his previous position at Oman’s national airline last year due to concerns about his extremist views. A post on one of his social media accounts included a photo of Ayman al-Zawahiri, who led al-Qaeda after the death of Osama bin Laden.
