Police officers arrested a 25-year-old man this morning in the Paphos district.
Specifically, around 7:50 a.m., while on patrol on Adamantios Korais Street in Paphos, members of the Paphos Traffic Police pulled over a car driven by the 25-year-old for a routine check.
The driver was administered a breathalyzer test, which showed a final reading of 100 μg instead of 22 μg—the maximum limit permitted by law— resulting in his arrest for a flagrant offense.
The 25-year-old appeared the same day before the Paphos District Court for the immediate filing of charges against him. The Court set the date for the 25-year-old’s response to October 7, 2026, and suspended his driver’s license until that date.
The Paphos Traffic Police are continuing their investigation.
