Piers Morgan launched a new attack on Jorge Jesus following the Portuguese coach’s comments on the Cristiano Ronaldo case. The British journalist described the Iberian coach “the Portuguese Ten Hag” and accused him of trying to gain more publicity through his tough stance toward the team captain.
“This guy is the Portuguese Ten Hag… He wants to make a name for himself by acting like a big, tough guy, trying to humiliate Cristiano with a shocking lack of respect,” Morgan wrote in detail in “X.”
Morgan’s latest commentary came a few hours after Jesus’s press conference, during which the coach argued that the story surrounding Ronaldo’s warm-up and his exclusion from the lineup had been blown out of proportion precisely because it involved the 41-year-old captain of the Portuguese. At the same time, Jesus has left open the possibility of Ronaldo’s return to the national team, should he so desire.
Morgan, however, does not seem convinced by the coach’s version of events. On the contrary, he announced that he will discuss the matter at length on his show, “Football Uncensored,” claiming that he has a “very well-informed” picture of what has been happening within the Portuguese national team.
In fact, this isn’t the first time in recent days that the British journalist has publicly taken a stand in favor of Ronaldo. Morgan has already questioned Jesus’s account of CR7’s departure from the national team and has argued that the real reason will come to light when Ronaldo himself speaks out.
This guy is the Portuguese Ten Hag… wants to make a name for himself as the big tough guy by trying to humiliate @cristiano with shocking disrespect. I will address him (from a very well-informed perspective
