LeBron James has found a rather… regal way to travel between Philadelphia and New York. The 76ers star will be using a helicopter for his trips and, as it turns out, he doesn’t even have to pay for it.
According to TMZ, LeBron has the option to use Fanatics’ helicopter whenever he wants, completely free of charge, as part of his long-term agreement with the company. A source close to Fanatics said that James is a “key partner” and one of the most important athletes in the world, so the… VIP service seems to be included in the package.
In fact, the 41-year-old superstar already used the helicopter last Saturday, traveling to New York after the exhibition game in Philadelphia.
And if you’re wondering how much such a… ride costs, these flights typically range from $6,000 to $9,000 each way. For LeBron, however, the bill comes to… zero.
It’s not known whether he’ll use the helicopter for every trip. The only thing that’s certain is that, when you’re LeBron James, even the trip from Philadelphia to New York can become a little more… “royal.”
