The former captain of Real Madrid, Dani Carvajal, who parted ways with the “Queen” this past summer after 13 years.
The veteran defender may have been close to signing with PSV Eindhoven, but the transfer never went through, so it appears that Getafe will make a surprise move and sign the 34-year-old player.
In fact, Spanish media outlets report that the deal between the two sides is expected to be formally finalized in the coming days, with Carvajal set to continue his career in the Spanish league.
It’s worth noting that with Real Madrid, he won 27 titles—including six Champions League titles and four league championships—in a total of 451 appearances (14 goals, nine assists) across all competitions.
