Manchester City has been in a difficult position in recent weeks, as an independent committee found the club guilty of 114 of the 115 financial violations it was accused of.
The “Citizens” have filed an appeal against this decision, but if the verdict stands, the club faces very severe penalties, such as point deductions, relegation, or even the stripping of titles from the 2009–2018 season.
According to British media, several City players are considering leaving the club, mainly due to uncertainty about the future.
This news, as one might expect, has piqued the interest of major European clubs—particularly regarding Manchester City’s star player, Erling Haaland.
According to reports in England, Spain’s two powerhouses, Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as Premier League champion Arsenal, are interested in signing Haaland and are closely monitoring developments.
What is certain, however, is that even if Manchester City is relegated, its financial demands for the Norwegian striker’s transfer will be very high.
