Eight minors were identified by police as the perpetrators of an attack on a 13-year-old girl in mid-September at a sports facility in the Ampelokipi neighborhood of Thessaloniki.
They include seven girls, aged 12, 13, and 14, and one 16-year-old boy, against whom charges have been filed, as applicable, for incitement, complicity, and simple aiding and abetting in the infliction of bodily harm on vulnerable individuals, unlawful violence, threats, and violation of the legislation on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.
As revealed by the Hellenic Police investigation, the incident took place around noon on September 18, when one of the minors who had been identified lured the 13-year-old girl to the sports field, where the rest of the suspects were waiting for her. There, they began beating her while simultaneously recording the incident on their cell phones.
In fact, the 16-year-old made sure to prevent the victim from leaving the area, while simultaneously threatening her life.
Following a police investigation, two individuals were arrested on the spot and brought before the competent prosecutor.
The case file compiled against the remaining individuals involved will also be forwarded to the judicial authorities.
