Jorge Jesus offered his own response to Cristiano Ronaldo following the statement issued by the captain of the Portuguese national team. The coach was asked about the accusations leveled against him and tried to avoid escalating the situation…
“I was in Leiria to watch the national team’s (U-21) game. I’ll read the statement now. I have nothing to say,” Jesus said.
As a reminder, it all started when, during the Portuguese national team’s last game, Jesus instructed Cristiano Ronaldo to warm up, but then chose not to put him in the game, prompting a reaction from the player.
