Dimitris Giannakopoulos made a public commitment to support PAOK in the process of admitting new teams to the EuroLeague.
The owner of Panathinaikos BC made this clear when a fan of the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” asked him to do so in a comment on a post he had made on social media.

“Vote for us, Mr. Giannakopoulos,” read the PAOK fan’s comment, to which the Panathinaikos executive replied… “Do you really think I wouldn’t vote for PAOK to join? That’s a public commitment,” he said.
As a reminder, yesterday the EuroLeague decided to reject the NBA’s proposal and to begin the process of expanding the league’s roster of teams.
