A tough test for Panathinaikos against the undefeated Turkish team!
The “Greens” are looking to continue their perfect start against a Fenerbahçe team that also has three wins in as many games and is coming to Athens with its own high hopes.
Panathinaikos has capitalized on its home-court advantage so far, overcoming the challenges posed by Paris, Villeurbanne, and Maccabi Tel Aviv. The commanding 90-67 victory over the Israeli team confirmed the “Greens’” strong form, as they play their fourth consecutive home game in the competition.
On the court, Zeljko Obradović will once again be able to count on Moustapha Fall and Nikos Rogavopoulos, with the French center preparing for his debut with the “clover.” Kostas Sloukas, Kendrick Nunn, and Juancho Hernangómez remain sidelined, limiting the available options.
Countering the visitors’ defense is the focus of the team’s preparations. Obradović emphasized the challenge it poses, while Jerian Grant stressed the need for the “Greens” to attack effectively against Fenerbahce’s line changes and maintain their focus.
Sarunas Jasikevicius’s team is coming off a 76-66 win over Dubai and has held all three of its previous opponents under 77 points. With defense as its main weapon, the team will aim for the win that will allow it to remain undefeated.
