The influx continues; another 40 migrants were rescued off the coast of Crete

The survivors were taken to the port of Kalo Limena

ALPHANEWSLIVE

A Coast Guard patrol boat rescued approximately 40 foreign nationals in the sea area 18 nautical miles southeast of Kalo Limena, Crete.

According to the Coast Guard, the boat carrying the foreign nationals was initially spotted by an unmanned aerial vehicle operated by FRONTEX.

The survivors were transported to the port of Kala Limena, while weather conditions in the area were favorable.
