TV in Cyprus is changing: What you need to do to keep receiving channels

We're switching to digital TV starting October 10
ALPHANEWSLIVE

Cypriot television is entering a new era starting October 10, as private television channels will be broadcast exclusively via the new frequencies and the European, following the expiration of the extension granted this summer.

In order for viewers to continue watching television from the private channels that are broadcasting, they will need to resync their channels using the automatic channel scan.

On the Alpha Cyprus website, https://tuning.alphacyprus.com.cy/, a detailed guide is available, along with an AI-powered tool that helps users check if their TV is compatible.

Speaking on the Alpha Kalimera show, Hellas SAT spokesperson Petros Theocharidis noted that we are in the final phase of the transition, which is expected to proceed smoothly.

The transition begins on October 10 and will take place gradually so that any problems that may arise can be addressed, with the goal of completing the transition before the Christmas holidays.

In fact, on Wednesday, Hellas SAT held an important seminar for industry professionals, during which experienced Hellas SAT staff and consultants addressed the issues that had been reported.

Mr. Theocharidis notes that the call center at 22000737 is working at full capacity to ensure a smooth and seamless transition and to provide assistance to viewers, including on-site inspections by Hellas SAT crews and technicians from the Deputy Ministry of Innovation.

For more information and guidance, those interested can visit the website www.hellas-sat.digital or contact the Call Center at 22000737.

The new technology ensures better image and sound quality and a more efficient use of frequencies.
