The situation regarding Yiannis Michailidis remains unresolved at PAOK, despite the fact that the initial discussion between the two sides did not result in an agreement.
This, however, has not created an impasse, as there is a willingness to continue talks and find a solution that will satisfy both PAOK and the 26-year-old international center back. The next round of talks is considered particularly important, as it is expected to largely clarify the direction of the negotiations.

A key factor is the “+1” clause in the existing agreement, which gives PAOK an additional bargaining chip. Activating this clause could extend the partnership between the two sides, but the prospect of a completely new agreement—with a longer duration and different financial terms—is also on the table.
A similar model was followed in the case of Antonis Tsiftsis, with PAOK seeking—where there is mutual willingness—to secure key players in the starting lineup for a longer period of time.
The case of Michailidis, moreover, of particular importance to PAOK, as he is a player who came up through the club’s youth system and has been with the club for nearly a decade.
He has become a key part of the defensive line, with a strong presence this season as well, and has already made 163 appearances in the “black-and-white” jersey, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists. The next match between the two sides will show whether this partnership can extend even further into the future.
