A take on the unprecedented “feud” that is rocking the arts scene in Greece and Cyprus, between Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas, with former DIPA MP Alekos Tryfonidis and EDEK Political Secretariat member Marios Hannidis weighing in.
The two appeared today as guests on the “Alpha News” program, and amid rapid developments in the dispute between the two artists, they were asked about the matter by journalist and host Katia Savva.

Mr. Tryfonidis sided with Anna Vissi, explaining that his daughter is a fan of hers and that she had recently traveled to Athens to attend the spectacular concert at the OAKA. At the same time, he noted that Vissi and Karvelas coexisted in the Greek music scene thanks to their joint efforts and expressed surprise that Greek law grants the composer to prohibit a singer from performing his songs.
Mr. Hannidis declared himself a fan of Anna Vissi, whom, as he said, he knows personally and is familiar with as a person. He also expressed his certainty that he and the show’s host could discuss the topic for hours.
