Rapid developments are expected within the Democratic Alarm party. Party President Anita Dimitriou appears to have decided to withdraw her bid for the party’s nomination as its candidate for the 2028 presidential election.
According to reports, Ms. Dimitriou’s decision was made during a joint meeting she held with Averof Neophytou and George Pamporidis in her office, on the fifth floor of the Democratic Alarm’s Central Offices on Pindarou Street.
A well-informed source told AlphaNews.Live that the relevant announcement will be signed by Dimitriou, Neophytou, and Pamboridis and, among other things, will convey the message that “the goal is the good of the party, not the seat.”
This was preceded by separate meetings with Neophytou and Pamporidis, while the DISY Executive Bureau met this morning to discuss internal party procedures.
