Rushed to the hospital Filippos Kampouris was transported to “Genimatas” Hospital from the GADA detention center, where he is being held in connection with the case involving fraud against the EFKA and tax evasion.
According to reports, Filippos Kampouris fainted in the holding cells after feeling unwell, specifically stating that his arm went numb and he felt dizzy. In fact, he claimed that he had suffered a stroke, which the paramedics did not confirm.
However, the defendant, who is currently in the hospital, will undergo the necessary medical examinations.
It should be noted that the prosecutor’s office has filed very serious criminal charges for five felonies and one misdemeanor against Filippos Kampouris, his wife, and his co-defendants.
Depending on the case, those arrested in connection with this major case are being prosecuted for:
– leading a criminal organization; membership
in and formation of a criminal organization; fraud
against a legal entity amounting to more than 120,000 euros, committed repeatedly and in
concert with others—complicity in fraud against a legal entity involving more than 120,000 euros—laundering
of proceeds from a criminal organization as a profession (money laundering) and for the
failure to pay employer and employee contributions on time (misdemeanor)
According to the evidence, the ring had set up approximately 25 companies, including advertising agencies, restaurants, nightclubs, and clothing stores, which it used as a “front” to defraud the e-EFKA.
