An unexpected development has arisen within the Zalgiris ranks during the team’s trip to Barcelona, ahead of tomorrow’s matchup against Barcelona at the “Palau Blaugrana” for the fourth round of the EuroLeague.
The Kaunas-based club held its final practice on Lithuanian soil and then headed to the city’s airport to fly to Spain.
However, shortly before boarding, a technical problem arose with the aircraft. In fact, despite efforts to resolve the issue, it proved impossible, resulting in the decision to send a plane from Vilnius to Kaunas to pick up the Zalgiris team and then fly them to Barcelona.
Even now, Masulis’s team remains at the Kaunas airport, having experienced a significant delay in their journey, with all that this may entail for the team’s schedule in Spain.
