She was the victim of a brutal murder at the hands of her 31-year-old estranged partner, who is accused of pushing her off the 15th floor of the New York City building where they lived, while23-year-old Nathalie Ramirez fell to her death while holding their 5-month-old baby in her arms.
According to police sources cited by the New York Post, the incident occurred when 31-year-old Angel Carrasco went to Ramirez’s home with flowers to reconcile with her after an argument they’d had.
According to the same source, when the 23-year-old rejected his offer to reconcile, the 31-year-old became enraged and pushed her off the balcony. The 23-year-old died instantly from the fall, while her 5-month-old baby, little Ángel Novalti Carrasco-Ramírez, is fighting for his life.
Carrasco, who left behind the flowers he had brought to Ramirez, was arrested shortly afterward.
On Thursday, he was brought before the prosecutor, smiling as the gathered crowd shouted “coward” and “I hope they kill you in prison.”

As the investigation into the 23-year-old woman’s death revealed, the 31-year-old had been charged with two assaults against her in 2026. On January 5, he was charged with third-degree assault, as he allegedly slapped Ramirez and caused her bruises when she protested because she was talking to his ex-partner. Three days later, he was charged with another incident of domestic violence against Ramirez, as he allegedly broke into her apartment and was waiting for her there.
His criminal record also includes two other arrests: one for providing false identification and one for marijuana possession, both in 2016.
