Onisiforos Rousias Calls It Quits!
The now-veteran soccer player announced that he has hung up his cleats at the age of 34. He played for, among others, Enosis, Omonia, AEK, Ermis Aradippou, Anorthosis, Krasava ENY, and his last team was Ayia Napa.
With the national team, Rousias made a total of 9 appearances.
His statement: “After so many years, so many fields, training sessions, matches, joys, and challenges, the time has come to close a great and beautiful chapter of my life.
Soccer wasn’t just a sport. It was a dream, a way of life, and a journey filled with moments I will carry with me forever.
A huge thank you to all the teams, coaches, teammates, management, fans, and everyone who became a part of this journey.
Above all, I thank my family and my wife for their love, patience, and support every step of the way. In every game, every practice, and every jersey I wore, I gave 100% of my ability.
I’m leaving with pride, filled with beautiful memories and gratitude for everything I’ve experienced.
The final whistle has blown… but the memories will remain forever.”
