Aris: The two positions up for grabs for Volos and the idea of signing Kouamé-Kantevere

The thessaloniki team is wrapping up its preparations

Aris’s preparations for tomorrow’s home match against Volos at “Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium,” for Matchday 6 of the Stoiximan Super League, are in the final stages. Michalis Grigoriou has largely decided on the starting lineup he wants to field, with two positions essentially still up for grabs before the final decisions are made.

The first question mark concerns the right side of the defense, where Fantiga and Petric are vying for the spot. Fandiga’s condition is being evaluated following minor surgery on his hand, which leaves this particular choice up in the air until the last minute. On the left side of the attack, the injured Giannis Gianniotas is out, with Brouma, Palasios, and Bouzaid in contention. Brouma is likely to make his debut for Aris, having stepped up his pace in training.

There is also particular interest in the front line, as Grigoriou is considering the possibility of pairing Kouame and Kantevere together. The two forwards had shown during preseason that they can work together effectively, but various circumstances have prevented them from playing together for an extended period in an official match until now. The match against Volos could provide an opportunity for a different approach to the “Yellows’” offensive play.

No major surprises are expected in the other positions, with Grigoriou having a core lineup in mind and waiting for the final details to finalize his selections. Aris returns to action after the break aiming to capitalize on home-field advantage and secure a positive result against Volos, kicking off a new stretch of matches on a positive note.
