PAOK: Geared up for kalamata with two uncertainties

Lissi is waiting for zivkovic and ndiaye before deciding on the starting lineup
ALPHANEWSLIVE

PAOK’s preparations for Monday’s match against Kalamata at Toumba, for Matchday 6 of the Stoiximan Super League, are entering the final stretch. Alessio Lissi now has most of his roster back at his disposal following the return of the national team players and is ramping up the intensity, as PAOK aims to get back on the winning track and put on a better performance following the break.

Most eyes are on the cases of Andrija Živković and Serif Ndiaye, who have dealt with minor issues recently. Initial assessments do not raise any major concerns, but the coaching staff does not intend to take any unnecessary risks. The final training sessions will determine whether the two players will be available to Lisi, as they are key players: with Zivkovic providing quality and creativity on the wings and N’Diaye serving as a key option at the top of the attack.

The break provided an opportunity for the Italian coach to focus more on physical conditioning, team cohesion, and the playing philosophy he wants to instill in his team. The absence of midweek European commitments deprives PAOK of additional official matches that could help with match sharpness, but at the same time offers the team more time for training, recovery, and adjustments between matches.

At PAOK, there is confidence that the roster has the quality to compete for the highest goals, but this must also be reflected on the field. The first match after the break is against Kalamata, with Lisi aiming not only for the three points but also for a convincing performance that will give the team momentum and confidence as they continue their battle in the league.
