There is an urgent need for blood due to the serious traffic accident that occurred in Limassol, which resulted in six people being injured, prompting the Limassol blood donation center to issue an appeal for blood donations.

According to a related post on social media, there is significant bleeding following the serious accident.

“We ask anyone who is able to donate blood to come immediately to the Limassol Blood Donation Center by 3:00 p.m.”

As a reminder, six people were injured in a traffic collision that occurred last night in Limassol. Of the injured, a 61-year-old woman is on a ventilator and in serious condition, while two others are hospitalized in serious condition but out of danger.

The traffic collision occurred around 10:50 p.m., when a car driven by a 32-year-old man on Omonia Avenue in Limassol, with three young passengers aged 20, 22, and 19, under circumstances that are under investigation, collided at some point along the road with a car driven by a 61-year-old woman, with a 62-year-old man as her passenger.

The 61-year-old woman was initially taken to Limassol General Hospital, where it was determined that she had suffered, among other injuries, subarachnoid hemorrhage, pneumothorax, and a pelvic fracture. Due to the severity of her condition, she was intubated and transferred to a private hospital, where she is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.

The 62-year-old suffered, among other injuries, vertebral and rib fractures, while the 20-year-old sustained bleeding from a pelvic artery. Both are in serious condition but are out of danger.

The 32-year-old driver and the other two passengers, aged 22 and 19, did not sustain serious injuries and were kept in the hospital as a precaution.
