A weak high-pressure system is affecting the region, while a weak low-pressure system is expected starting tomorrow.
In the afternoon, the weather will be generally clear, though locally there will be increased cloud cover, which may bring isolated showers in the mountains. Winds will blow mainly from the northwest to the northeast, and along the southern and western coasts from the southwest to the northwest, ranging from light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily along the coasts up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally slightly rough.
Tonight, the weather will be generally clear, though increased local cloud cover will be observed at times. Winds will be mainly downslope, light, at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 19 degrees inland, around 21 degrees along the coast, and around 11 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tomorrow, there will be periods of increased local cloud cover, which, starting at noon and continuing into the afternoon, is expected to bring isolated showers or even thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains, in the north, and possibly in inland areas as well. Winds will initially be variable and light, 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming mainly southeasterly to southwesterly and, in the north, northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 31 degrees inland, along the southern and eastern coasts, around 29 degrees along the western and northern coasts, and around 20 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Monday and Tuesday, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with occasional increased cloud cover; however, clouds developing in the afternoon are expected to bring isolated showers or even thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains, in the north, and in inland areas.
On Wednesday, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms expected to develop gradually along the western and northern coasts. In the evening, the weather is expected to worsen with local showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the western half of the island, where these conditions are expected to be intense or even prolonged.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Wednesday, remaining close to the seasonal average.
