Apollon coach Ernán Lozada.

Disappointed with the result, Krasava ENY coach Fernández Romo emphasized that he saw positive things from the team.

Here are their comments in detail:

Ernán Lozada: “I’m satisfied with the result, which is the most important thing for our team. We created chances; we could have scored more goals. We had options on the bench, and that makes us strong and competitive with one another. The team is ready and building confidence. In these matches, you have an obligation to win, and that’s what makes the difference in the course of the season. The important thing is that we’ve remained undefeated as a team and are close to the rest of the pack. We have time to improve the other aspects of our game.”

On the break and his lineup choices: “The break was like water in the desert for us; we needed a breather. We had the chance to bring back several players; I chose this starting lineup because some players weren’t ready to play more minutes on the field. Games like this open up in the second half, when decisive plays are needed; we held back some players so we’d have others with fresh legs. The players will be in better shape in the coming weeks, and we’ll have a lower risk of injuries. I’ll have more options; it’ll be difficult, but that’s my job. Decisions are made in training. The plan worked, and we got the win.”

Fernández Romo: “The result is disappointing because we could have gotten a better outcome, since we had the chances to score before Apollon did. The most disappointing thing is that we didn’t get a result, despite our strong performance. However, there are positives that give us optimism as we move forward.”
