It narrowed the gap behind league-leading monaco
ALPHANEWSLIVE

Paris Saint-Germain returned to action with a comfortable home victory!

Luis Enrique’s team took the lead in the 19th minute of their match against Le Mans, thanks to a well-taken penalty kick by Beraldo, and although they saw the visitors equalize against the run of play with a goal by Mafouta in the 54th minute, they ultimately managed to score three goals from the 61st minute onward to secure an easy victory.

First, Kvaratskhelia put them back in the lead in the 61st minute, and seven minutes later (68th minute), Aklious gave them a “comfortable lead,” with the score remaining 3-1 until the end, as Doué failed to make it 4-1 in stoppage time from a penalty kick he took himself.

Thus, the champions celebrated their third straight victory in France’s Ligue 1, a season they began without earning a single point in their first three matches, narrowing the gap to three points behind league-leading Monaco, which was held to a 2-2 draw against Toulouse.

Although they found themselves leading 2-0, following goals by Diop (29′) and Alpmin (38′), the Monegasques saw the visitors pull one back in the 48th minute on a penalty kick by Tengstedt and then equalize for the final score with a goal by Opong in the 59th minute.

Paris FC also dropped points, losing 1-0 on the road at Lorient and remaining three points behind the leader, while Brest crushed Angers with a resounding 5-1 victory!
