The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a workplace accident in Nicosia in which three people, aged 33, 45, and 49, were seriously injured.
According to a report filed around 7:30 p.m. last night, the accident occurred on October 8, 2026, between approximately 9:30 and 10:15 a.m., at a construction site under construction in Strovolos. Under circumstances that are under investigation, while the 33-year-old, the 45-year-old, and the 49-year-old were working at the construction site, they reportedly fell from a height of approximately nine meters.

The three workers were transported by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where they are being treated. According to the attending physicians, the 45-year-old’s condition is critical but stable, while the 33-year-old and the 49-year-old are in serious condition.
The Strovolos Police Station, in cooperation with the Labor Inspection Department, is investigating the incident.
