Kyriakos Mitsotakis mentioned the project to build the new Karaiskakis Stadium in his weekly update posted on social media.
The prime minister spoke of another step forward in the stadium’s renovation and clarified that procedures are moving forward so that construction can begin in May 2027.
“Another step was taken this week toward the upgrade of the ‘Georgios Karaiskakis’ Stadium, the historic home of Olympiacos. This is a private investment of 250 million euros, aimed at creating a new 53,000-seat stadium worthy of the team’s history. “The necessary legislative measures are being put in place so that construction can begin in May 2027,” Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted in his post.
