The scale and frequency of Houthi attacks against Riyadh in recent days are unprecedented since 2014, when the war between the Yemeni rebel movement and the forces of Yemen’s internationally recognized government—which is backed by Saudi Arabia—escalated. A military coalition led by Riyadh intervened in the war in Yemen in March 2015.
