Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 42-year-old woman who was found dead in her home in the Omonia neighborhood of Limassol.
According to reports, the 42-year-old was found on Saturday afternoon, after a neighbor alerted the police due to a strong foul odor emanating from the ground-floor apartment where she lived.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found the woman dead in her bed, her body in an advanced state of postmortem decomposition.
It is estimated that she had died several days before being discovered, while the exact cause of death remains unclear.
The legally mandated autopsy on her body, to be performed by medical examiner Angeliki Papetta, is expected to shed light on the circumstances of the 42-year-old’s death.
