Cristiano Ronaldo considers himself the greatest soccer player of all time, as he himself has stated. The interview with the 41-year-old superstar was broadcast by CNN Portugal, where he spoke with his friend, journalist Edu Aguirre; according to international media, their conversation took place about a year ago.
“I’m the best of all time, period. The numbers speak for themselves. I don’t know anyone better than me. History has already been written. I could end my career today and I wouldn’t regret a thing,” said the Portuguese star.

He also spoke about comparisons with Lionel Messi. “We’ve always motivated each other. Just like Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna in Formula 1,” he said, adding that he feels he isn’t appreciated enough for the goals he scores at this age.
It should be noted that the Portuguese Football Federation is moving forward with a temporary suspension of CR7 from the national team, following his departure from the squad, shortly before the Nations League match against Denmark.
At the same time, it is set to launch urgent disciplinary proceedings against him, examining both his conduct and his statements during this particular international break.
